James Benham

Mr. Benham, founding partner, practices individual, corporate and partnership taxation law, tax controversy, estate preservation and probate. He has thirty-four years experience in estate and post-mortem tax planning, federal and state income tax planning, formation, operation and reorganization of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, and tax controversy representation encompassing income estate and gift and excise taxes.

Mr. Benham received his B.S. from Portland State University, his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College, and his L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona since 1973.

Mr. Benham is certified as a tax specialist by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization and a past Chair of the Executive Council of the Tax Section of the Arizona State Bar. He has taught numerous tax seminars for the Arizona State Bar, Maricopa County Bar, and National Business Institute. He authored a tax article for ALI-ABA Practical Lawyer Journal that was reprinted in a training manual for AICPA.
